Synagogue Part-Time Office Assistant
Location: Palm Beach, FL 33480
Palm Beach Synagogue is looking for a part-time office assistant. The ideal candidate will have good customer service skills, professional phone presence, and willingness to work independently and pitch in where needed. The ideal candidate will also have knowledge of the local Jewish community, holidays and traditions.
Job Responsibilities:
Answers incoming calls, directs callers and answer general inquiries as needed
Assists with processing payments for synagogue dues, day care, etc.
Schedules meetings, assists with planning, preparation of meetings, programs and events
Receives and distributes communications, mail, deliveries
Assists with maintaining office equipment, ordering supplies and other general office support duties
Other duties as needed
Qualifications and Success Factors:
Preference for Bachelor's degree.
Three or more years’ experience working in administrative support positions or equivalent combination of relevant education, knowledge and skills required.
Excellent customer service skills required, including professional phone presence.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
Strong knowledge of basic office computing, including MS Office and basic accounting or data entry skills required.
Ability to manage multiple tasks.
Well organized with a high level of detail orientation.
Dependable and professional.
